This was such a cute game and I really enjoyed it :D
Loved every aspect from the art, music, and mechanics.
What a delightful little game! I really enjoyed this one. It's annoying that you get an instant Game Over if you're a bit inattentive and fail to click on a food item in time, since nothing else in the game is really time-sensitive. Perhaps you should stop moving if you run out of stamina, but still have a chance to eat any food in your inventory.
In my first playthrough, it wasn't clear how the taxes worked. I thought they might be based on my net worth or something. I was trying to figure out if I should end the loop with lots of cash, or lots of goods, or something else. Only on the second playthrough, when I saw the same numbers, I realized they follow a preset progression. This really should be explained!
thank you for the feedback! we just released a fix with tons of fixes and QoL features, including a fix for the instant Game Over, and a clearer way to see the Tax amount for each loop.
Oh wow! Ok, just updated my review from 4 to 5 stars, this is just perfect now!
(When you mentioned QoL fixes, I thought maybe you made paying the taxes less of a pain, but nope, it's still slow and annoying, and I absolutely love that! Not because it's fun, but because it isn't. It takes guts to put in a deliberately anti-QoL feature.
Manually counting out the coins makes the player viscerally feel the character's frustration at giving up more and more of their hard-earned wealth at the end of each loop. It feels like a bit of good-natured trolling from the developer, and I appreciate the commitment to that design choice!)
I love the game so much but there is a strange glitch that makes it unbeatable. I played through at first without knowing about the "don't give the camel the flower" bug and lost because the tax got too high while I kept trying to bloom the flower. Now every time I buy the Loopenia, immediately after leaving the market I cannot interact with my inventory to eat, move coins, etc. so I am frozen and cannot progress past purchasing the flower. I was really determined to beat it :(
thanks for the reply, we just released a fixed web version! no more bugs to stop you to save the poor camel!
Thank you!! I will revive him at once!
